BLACK-SMITHING BASICS
This is where it all starts! A great class for beginners who want to try blacksmithing or folks who are looking at building their skills to become knife makers or ornamental smiths.

Learn the basics of forging steel using a coal forges.

You'll enjoy making twisted and tapered hooks and tying knots in bars of steel, you might even have time to work on a project of your own design.

Class starts promptly at 1:00pm and ends at 4:00pm.

Safety gear, materials and tools provided.

Bring your own snacks and plenty of drinking water.

Cotton pants, shirts and closed toed shoes are required
$160.00 per student, 4 students maximum.

INTRO TO FORGED KNIVES
Practice the basics of hand forging while making something shiny, sharp and poky. Get a working knowledge of principles knife making including forging, hardening, tempering, tool steel identification and more.

Previous experience or completion of our Blacksmithing Basics class is suggested for optimum success.
